Grevillea lanigera – Dwarf Wooly Grevillea - Prostrate Form.
A wonderful small low-growing or prostrate Grevillea with reddish-pink and cream spider-like flowers in late winter and spring. The foliage clings neatly around the stems and may have a wooly appearance hence the common name. It’s bird attracting and performs best in well-drained soils accepting of coastal and inland sites. Full sun is preferred but part shade works too and it grows to around 1.5 metres wide and 30cm high. The Wooly Grevillea is ideal for rockeries, sloping banks and low maintenance gardens. It’s fairly drought tolerant once established so a low water use plant. It may cause skin irritation in some people, as is the case with many plants.
